Smallest steering wheel.

Does anyone know who makes the smallest steering wheel for an FD? I'm around 6 foot 4, 240lbs which makes turns with both hands on the wheel very hard... if not impossible.

I've got a 340mm Momo (slight "D" shape) and honestly, I would not go smaller than that. Increased leg room is a welcomed feature however be prepared for a cut off view of the top of the gauges. I know of someone that had a 330mm and swapped that one out for a 350mm.

You are the same height as me and I find that a spacer bringing the wheel closer to you is as uselful if not more so than getting a smaller wheel. In fact I am now considering either a deeper dished wheel, or adding to the +/-1" spacer that I already have by using a detachable steering hub to bring the wheel even closer. You may want to consider this through the use of a hub and steering package from Tekniq auto (sp?).

If you need pics of the steering from the drivers point of view I can try to arrrange for that, so just email me.

Cheers,
David

I think momo makes a tiny steering wheel, like under 11 inches. I'm not 6 foot 4, so I couldn't tell ya how it works out. Good luck.

As far as I know, there's no spacers out there for the stock wheel, and I really don't know if it would be possible. There are a few spacers out there for Momo or Sparco wheels - had one on my old FC and *LOVED* it. I'm 6'6", BTW .

I had the Sparco Ring on my FC which has a flat bottom. With that wheel and the spacer, I could actually touch my knees together, a first for me. It did obscure the gauges somewhat and the turn signal indicators totally.

Sparco and Momo holes are identical so, yes the adapters are compatible.

I have this one. I like the suede and its tiny, but still functional since I have to do some long drives sometimes and like to relax with my legs up a little..
