Slow Power Windows.. How to clean?

Just installed some used power window motors that were in good shape. The windows still come down and up really "chunky" and not smooth at all..
How can i go about cleaning the tracks, regreasing etc..
What and how should i go about doing this?

Thanks

You must have seen the whole set up while you were in there, no?

Clean the track and grease it. You answered your own question!

Yes i know but a member on another forum said he cleaned it with WD-40 or something and made it even worse. Is there any specific grease i should use? I would like to clean the Sunroofs too..

i would think any gear grease.. I would think you can find it at any autoparts store.. Let us know how it goes me and my bud are having the same probs.. like it hops as its going down.. try cleaning the glass real good and get all the wax and residue off it..

Try using some silicone spray instead and spray it along the sides.

you can also take the motor out and clean the brushes, sometimes greatly improves the speed the windows roll up at. Did this to mine, and they sped up for a while, but eventually they went back to being slow again... If you could replace the brushes it would probably make a big difference...
