Edit: yes i know this is an s13 as opposed to an FC or FD... but all the RX-7 kits suck!
Probably in the same situation i was in, they purchased a new set of rims from a friend or elsewhere that couldn't be returned to discover they fit the rear, but rubbed in the front. Before testing fitment, he already had tires mounted and balanced, since he had brand new tires he figured "eh, **** it"

Or, those are an old set of rims in the rear, the tires were worn and he's saving the extra pair of good tires for good frontal grip in the corners and loose rear grip in then turns for drifting.

You live in Missouri, how would you know how Japanese "do their cars"? For all you know, this site could be dedicated to how Americans ruin Japanese cars.

I like the kit(s) "Drifter X" Kamatsu and "Drifter XL" Bai have on their 180SX's. That maroon 240 looks damn nice and clean if you ask me. Its not over the edge.

Yeah excpet, besides the fact that they're fugly...
That even if this is for a trailer queen, show car...
How the F are you getting that thing on and off the trailer... not to mention, God help you if you have a Rain Gutter before you drive into the convention center / car show...
It's not just fugly it's impractical to boot... Looks are in the eye of the beholder, but if you can't drive a car cause it's got 20" Wheels and a body kit that needs it's own casters, that's just Retarded....

Explain why drifting needs "more than one type of rim on the same car" to work?
