I want those VOLK Gram Lites from that first black FD on my FC. That would be sweet with a widebody kit.

thats what i have currently. not too bad especially for the price. anything looked better then the tarnished chrome stock wheels i had on there. i will be selling these wheels some time in the real near future. unless somone wants to trade their stock wheels plus a little extra cash!

I think the ADRs are hot. Lots of people don't like them becuase they think they are cheap....But the good thing is that when you ding one...Toss it and buy another one! Try doing that with a special order Volk wheel...I waited 7 months to get my Gramlites...I wish I could have the piece of mind that when/if I do ding them I can get easy access to them.

yeah they are nice considering the price range. they are a little heavy for comfort but i'm not complaining. I had some brown-like tarnished chrome stockies on the car when i first got it, so I just bought the ADR's for pure cosmetic reasons. but I ordered them from Vision Autosport in Hacienda Heights out in So. Cal. James there got me all four with tires for around $1,200! :O took about 4 days to get them. hahaha. But of course i've been shopping with him since day one. anyone else would probably pay about $500 or so more.

... Think about it. How expensive are Yokohama ADVANs? Now, factor that with the rarity factor and the fact that Makin Industries is JUST now starting to offer them to us.

Congrats Phil! Looks great! How heavy are we talking about (w/ sizes for reference)? My SSR GT3s are 3 peice wheels, and the 8.5s are 22 lbs I believe, and the 10s are 25.6 lbs!

Too bad SSR is bankrupt and are folding. I hear they're not even going to try to salvage the company, although it's likely their assets will eventually be snatched up by another company. SSR had the deepest dish wheels. IMHO, it doesn't count as "dish" if the spokes curve inward to provide the illusion of dish. Those kinds of wheels, when spinning, don't look deep at all. To me, dish is the area you clearly see above the face of the rim. Modern sports car offsets don't allow for very much dish. FD offsets are nearly the same as a Honda Prelude, for instance. Not that's a bad thing at all though, considering that most high performance cars are moving in that direction - even Porsche, which used to be the kind of deep dish.

Back to SSR, how deep the dish on a certain size and offset rim is a combination of the spoke design and the back cut of the face. SSR had many flat face centers and offered some radically shaved mounting surfaces in the rear. You'd have to be really careful about caliper clearance, but if you measured it right, no one beat SSR. My Volks have 125mm (5") of dish in the rear, but the same size and offset rim from SSR had 152mm - 6"!

I couldn't afford the SSR's I wanted though, and now they're gone. =(
