Be very carefull and use an oil cleaner. If they are real hard and you use water, they shrink up afterwards and rip themselves at the seams.

Cloth?? Just use soap and water and then a shop vac or car wash vacuum to suck out the water. If you have a red stain or ink you have to draw it out with Iso Alcohol a wet rag and an Iron. drip some alcohol on it. Place the wet cloth over it, then use the iron on top of the cloth to heat up the area. The heat will draw the stain upwards into the cloth. When the cloth is all stained thow it away.
