Seat Belts Leave Dirty Marks on Clothes

I have a 5 point racing harness and my stock seat beat still connected. At some point (the previous owner) either got them both wet or tried some kind of treatment. Any way whenever I put on the seat belt or the racing harness I ge black dye on my shirt and jeans from the stock belt and red dye from the racing harness. Both belts feel greesy to the touch, not sure why.

Question: Is there a way to clean the belts or stop the dye from getting on my clothes?

Thanks

Sounds strange, how long have you had the car? Almost sounds as if they are retaining the moisture. Try sticking them in a tumble dryer or something :p

Perhaps the previous owner had a tan interior car which he converted to black with a fabric dye. Are the seat belts tan in the 93's?

That sounds bizarro and gross. Who knows what funk the other person had. Replace the belt with a new one

You could do the easy fix of getting some belt pads

Its an R1, so the seat belts are black. He did no dye them. I get a lot of oil, red dye from the racing harnesses and some blck dye oil from the stock belts. The blet pads would not cover the whole belt and I would still have marks. Thanks

I think he had washed them or tried to clean them and not they leak.
Could I was them, any special way? How a bout drying?
