I 2nd the recommendation of getting them rewebbed/restored. I used these guys to do the belts in my '93FD - https://www.safetyrestore.com/conten...SAAEgJMd_D_BwE
Cost me about $200 all in including shipping when I did it 2 years ago; had them do new webbing with a color change to black, and fully restore the belt mechanisms. The tan belts were frayed & too filthy to clean when I got the car in 2019. Turn-around time was quick too; about 5 business days from when I shipped them out to getting them back restored
