Scoot Hood issues

Hi, I have 2 questions for those with the Scoot Hood:

(1) Mine came with fiberglass pieces for under the louvers to divert water towards the front (scoop). Anyone use these and what do you notice in terms of affect on temps, if any?

(2) The scoop part is channeled to the back and then the air splits to right and left. Why the hell? Wouldn't it make more sense (if you had an IC, especially) for the scoop to be channeled towards the IC.

I have mine but it's not installed. I'm thinking of redirecting the scoop air so that it's blocked from the normal channel to the back and instead gets routed via a new hole/duct to the front of the I/C. Wouldn't that in affect make my SMIC almost partial FMIC? Any drawbacks?

Thanks!

1) I only use it when I wash my car

2) The reason the air is diverted to the right and left is to cool off your turbos and your manifold. The opening on the mouth of the car should take care of the IC.

It does the same thing as a normal louvered hood, ONLY it has direct air into the engine bay vise, sucking it into the engine bay..

What has this done for your intake temperatures?
