Scoot Hood adds wind noise or increase the wind cd?

I was wondering if the Scoot hood adds more wind noise or any type of noise? Also the RX7 in stock form is super slippery, adding a Scoot hood with the center intake, will it increase the wind cd by a lot? Aerodynamics is very important at high speeds and was wondering if this hood has any affect on the two questions above. Also, I have Apexi air intakes and don't want them affected by rain if it ever does, does the Scoot hood have some sort of rain blocker? Thanks in advance.

Also, is there a more recomnended hood?

Your Undercairrige creates a lot of turbulance, the scoot hood, creates a negative pressure field for the engine bay,and vents air trapped by the IC and Rad.
The center vent dumps air over the ABS Unit / Turbos and Master Cylinder to cool brakes. Air moving over the hood, is likely to be smoothed out over the roof, and rear hatch, and turbulance is something that manifests itself over the rear of the car at high speed, hence a spoiler puts pressure on that area to "Plant" the car firmly on the road.

I don't think turbulance is a major issue with the scoot, but only a wind tunnel test would be able to tell.

As to the intake, with any kind of filter, water should be reduced to a fine mist, unless you're traversing the ohio river. At which point drowning the engine becomes less of a factor and drowning the driver becomes more of one. There are block off plates, but misted water has shown to reduce intake temps, and reduce detonation. As well as steam clean your Apex Seals of any Oil put there by the OMP, which should be negligable for the 2-3 second durations you're talking about since there are people with water injection, that turn it on for what amounts to hours/days during a given year.

Thanks for the very valuable information. So I'm guessing rain that might won't affect the air intakes much, because by the time it actually get sucked in it will be all misty?

Thanks again for the info, is the Scoot hood the most sought after aftermarket hood?
