RX8 seats rock!
I got a chance to drive an RX8 this weekend. The seats are amazing (at least for my build).
Anyone know how much replacement seats are from the dealer? I'd love to put them in my '93.
I'm at the Monterey Historics this weekend and they have a couple of RX8's and 3rd Gen and a couple of the old RX8 concepts. Great to see these cars in person. I was there first thing in the morning on Friday and someone had already stolen the shift *** on the RX8 demo...
Hilight of the weekend so far is I got to meet Jackie Stewart and he signed my Crew pass. The new Ford GT40 is there too...nice car.

i like the feel, but you might as well get a bride or sparco. it would be a bitch to put harness's through them. recaro just released a seat made for the rx-8. its got the same type of shape, but with good cut-outs for belts.

The "ribbed" upolstery was very stylish on the RX8 seats as well...
4k would be a lot...BUT they are very comfortable. This is going to be a hard car to keep your hands on.
Taking the shift ***** off for shows makes some sense, but this one was the only one missing and the guy standing there did a sholder shrug when someone asked him where it was...maybe he was the guy doing the lifting? heh..
The Evolve rear seats were pretty cool. They had a kids seat built in. See the pic.

I guess were all a little better off if some things don't breed, Sunshine.
The interesting and innovative thing about the seats was the mesh seat section and the leather/tube frames. From a design standpoint the kids seat is pretty interesting. Practically and legally not such a good idea. Better to off-load the liability to the cars seat manufacturers.
