"RX7" Front plate - Where to get?

Anyone know where to get a black front plate that has "RX7" on it?
I want to put it on the OE plate holder on the 99 J-spec bumper.
If anyone know where I can pick one up, let me know.
Thanks guys!

Personally, I think having the stock OE J-Spec bumper with out something in the plate holder looks kinda funky.
I'd rather have that "RX7" plate there instead.
I agree, that having a regular plate up front makes the car look less sleek...

Yeah, I meant the license plate, not the frame.

I think he's referring to the liscense plate insert that is shown in the promotional pics for the 99+ FD. Its like the insert that you get when you purchase a new car, except that its black and reads "RX-7" in white. If anyone knows where to get these, I'm looking too.

Is it possible to get these from the dealer in Japan? If someone is in japan and could check for us, we could organize a group buy or something.

well, I busted one out in photoshop...of course, it's not OE, and you'd have to figure out how to print it, and on what kind of material, etc....but I have it, if you want it.

Ask Jason at JT-Imports (www.jt-imports.com). He might be able to hook you up.

Thanks guys!

The Current California Vehicle Code REQUIRES you to have a Licence plate firmly attached to the front bumper - You will eventually get a ticket if you don't have one, Many CITIES will fine you $50<>$75 for not having one (in addition to the $10 paperwork fee for getting the fix-it citation written off).
Just do what I did, get a nice personalized set of plates and PROUDLY display them front & rear!
ps the Avitar pic is from before I got cited for No Front Plate!

Yep, I know this.
And I have been cited.
On the ticket it said it was a $100 fine.
But I just put the plate on and went down the the PoPo station and they signed off the ticket.
All I ended up paying was $10 for the transaction fee.

I still want the RX7 plate though.
I like how it looks.

I've tried to call one of the manufacturers that make the inserts for new car dealerships, but I wasn't able to purchase single or small quantity orders. They were only willing to sell in bulk with a minimum of a few hundred.

Just go to any mall and find a booth that makes licence plate holders, show them the pic of the RX-7 plate you want, and they will adjust the size and font for you and make you one for around 20 bucks. Thats what I did, and I asked Mazda about it to, and it just a white sticker on a black licence plate, they dont make them, they are custom. I will post the one I have later when I get home. So dont waste your money or time trying to find it.

Glendale Galleria, near the lower food court, look for a kiosk called Cactus Graphics and show them a pic of the plate and tell them how you want it and what color, they know thier **** and it will be exactly what you want. here's thier # if you want (818) 549-4173 .

Thanks crashunit, I'll go check it out. I don't recall your car having a 99 front. What do you use the insert for? the rear plate?
