RX-Lights, Anyone have experience with them?

Im looking to upgrade the lighting on my FD. I did a quick search and didnt really find anything of substance on this company. Does anyone here have a review or opinion on them and their products? Current wait time is 1 - 12 months according to the website.

What lights? The LED headlights seem to hold up OK but are made with cheap parts that you can buy on alibaba or temu. You couple those with some SONAR clear housings from ebay that have butyl seals and modfiy the lock ring so the projectors clock right and you can have the same headlights for about two hours of work and $300.

Every set of front turn signals and tail lights that I have seen that are more than a few months old on driven cars are broken. I've heard first hand accounts of insanely long lead times as well.

I'd suggest doing a DIY project or buying from stop motion lighting.

The wait time is insane. If you can't service your existing customers, stop taking on more work

I did a parts swap and cash trade for the infinity tails. After being told "they are almost ready to ship" for 9 months, I cancelled my order and had a hell of a time getting my money back.

This was 6 months ago, perhaps he's doing better now. I do know another community member reached out and offered to help him organize things, which is how I got refunded.

A year for lights, pre-paid, is unsustainable. I wish him the best getting his business sorted.

There are some reviews in the FB groups about his stuff, but most don't dive too far into the quality of the lights. Most just talk about the delays, as mentioned above.

I haven't bought lighting off of him, but I did purchase his A-Spec Type II lens replacements. They also took.....forever. They did come and all was well, but I think a year was a bit long on a part that seemed, to me, to be sitting on the shelf when he opened the group buy. When they did show up, they were....fine. I was hoping for a bit better quality, but with a part like this, that has NEVER been reproduced by Mazda or an aftermarket, beggars cant be choosers. And I'm happy he did the reproduction. To be honest, the original Mazdaspeed lenses weren't all that special/great either, so take my expectations of more with a grain of salt.

However, I was able to see some of his lighting products up close and personal at DGRR. I saw a couple sets of tail lights and a set or two of 99 spec front lights. I was not impressed, nor did the owners of the cars seem to be. Good luck trying to follow someone with the tail lights in the daytime. Better be on your toes.

I understand that the type of lighting he does is "in" right now, but personally I just don't think they fit with the aesthetics of the car. I also feel like in 10 years, we'll see cars with lighting like this and we will kinda cringe. I'd much prefer a modern lighting style that doesn't stand out. Something like the Origin Works or the Full Detail Automotive lighting solutions are better as lights, and probably won't date the car in 10 years either.

I have a set of his regular projector headlights and have been using them for a few years. They're a significant upgrade over factory, especially if you drive in areas without street lights.

The wait times are a massive issue. I waited I think 10 months in 2022 when the advertised lead time was supposed to be ~1 month. I've known multiple people who've waited a year or more and ultimately just asked for refunds. I'm very happy with my headlights but I can't recommend them solely because of lead times. Still taking new orders when you're a year behind seems wildly unfair to customers too.

to be fair..... on the website (now anyway) it says there is a 1-12 month wait time. if even after seeing that you still place the order then i think that would put them in the clear for at least 1-12 months lol. they are now setting the expectation of "you get it when you get it" and your payment is acceptance of those terms.

Thanks James for the best wish ,
My health and business is doing much better.

Most of your statements is true, my wait time is long.

The crucial correction i need to do is;

-You never cancelled your order , i cancelled the order on you
- i also cancelled the partnership of you making carbon headlights and taillights for the community.

i cancelled because of your behaviour, you are very painful person to deal with.

you’ve been so butthurt of not having the tails and losing the carbon project because of your behaviour that youve been on rampage on destroying me.

ive deals with a ALOT of people in the community,
dealing with you was one of the worst experiences in my 600+ sales for the community .

you also complain about the refund , yet you dont tell people you sent me 2 set of carbon wheels covers , when i only asked you for 1.
you said its a « gift » which i did a raffle for promotion
and afterward , you come tell me i have to pay for that ?
**** you ******* scammer , thats why i gladly took my time to pay you , you say its because you threatened with a lawsuit to the community , LMAO , ******* lying piece of **** .

you’ve been tarnishing my company , Ted , Nathan and with lies for months .
oh about Nathan , As a Thai person myself , STFU , you visa motherfucking idiot . you white people come to this country and try to apply the law on your own white people.
your the problem ,idiot.

You keep saying « its s hobby yet » you got insult everyone that does the same as you,
why don you try to cheer your peers , you wouldnt have so many complaining post and enemies Karen.

you are a spoiled brat ,
at least on this post you give me the best wishes.
Thank you , i honestly hope you crash , you will find out how hard is to get up and maybe then you’ll treat people nicely

till then , **** you ! rot in hell , you lying piece of ****.

Ok. I am glad to hear you are doing better.

I don’t appreciate the rest of that at all.

I’ve checked in with the guy who was helping you get organized again since then, just to see how you’re doing. He said you were doing better, I was genuinely glad to hear that.

The entire situation was frustrating for both of us. I am glad to hear you now have a disclaimer about the delivery time.

Like I have said, if you are OK with the wait time, please by all means order from RX Lights.

I will add, I never actually agreed to make the carbon parts for you, because I was worried that having them made here might possibly lead to them getting copied, and that wasn’t something I wanted to be responsible for. I didn’t want to be responsible for that.

I worked for this loser for 8 months and got ripped off by him like you would not believe! he stole my car parts , wrecked my engine , tried to **** my baby mother and called the cops on me and filed a restraining order! Im now suing him for over 100k and am going to win no doubt. This loser told me we were business partners and then after 8 months had paid me less than 3000$ and in the end when I confront him about money he called the cops and said I'm on drugs and assulted him , then when I had proof of his lies , he didn't show up to court . I am looking for anyone who has been ripped off by him that may live in other countries and cant get their money back so that I can include their experience in my civil case and try to get them their money back. email at innov8ideas4u@gmail.com

Ah, you're a real person. Thought it may have been a bot. I apologize. I don't think it needs to get censored but bots have been popping up a lot and your post seemed a bit more general. But in the age of AI, i could be wrong.

EDIT: I could still be wrong because your only post are just trash talking RX-Lights and your account is brand spanking new. It's not up to me to decide, just calling it out how i see it.

I am just so disgusted with the way rxlights preys on people that I want to get awareness out there about him. I heard him bullshitting people on the phone every day trying to make sales for **** that he can not even do. I know he was so screwed after I left because he promised 10+ people things that he had no idea how to do and was expecting me to do. bottom line , guy is a loser scammer , proven by all the people who have posted about him, and I'm looking forward to seeing him in court!

I've IM'ed with a few folks on another platform about outstanding orders with the RX-lights. Not my stories to share but several folks waiting over a year with thousands outlaid and nothing to show for it.

Makes complete sense, I'm not trying to downplay anything on here if issues are really happening. Just seemed kind of sketchy at first and i've seen bots or scammers popping up a lot more so just wanted to call it out. Everything seems legit and if there are real issues with RX-Lights, it definitely deserves to be called out. Sucks that vendors are doing that to consumers but we definitely have the right to call them on their BS.
