OK, I know some people are not going to believe me but...

I got my Miata (I have a RX too- kinda not workin right now) painted the same Snow White Pearl and the limited RZ Japan model. I was talking with a friend that worked for DuPont and we were discussing different shades of pearl white for my car. He brought out a color known as Snow Pearl. I liked it and had my car painted with it. While reading up on the RZ model, i saw that it was called "Snow White Pearl"...the same name as the pearl on my car. The only way to know for sure is if DuPont made the paint that was used on the RZ.

 

Hrm, I doubt very much DuPost made the paint used on the RZ, but it ma be a possibility that Mazda could have emulated the paint distributed by DuPont or the other way around.

I personally think the Pearl White was the best color on the whole production line...

 

Mazda colors are their own mixes not Duponts.

Because I own and operate a paint shop in the Washington DC area. Its very commonly known that the car manufactures use their own paints.
You didnt think that they were gonna split their profits with Dupont did you?

BOOSTMiesterGeneral: When you say you own a paint shop, are you referring to automotive paint or house paint? I need some body work/paint done and could use some pointers (as I may attempt to do it myself).
