dont forget! Vynel adds horsepower too!

At least hes ricin out a FC and not a FD. I was searching through ebay yesterday and i saw the slew of altezzas for FD's on ebay. I saw one of the 100 had a bid on it. I emailed the winning bidder tearing him a new ******* about how fugly they are and they dont belong on FD's, sportscar, image, ETC... **** pissed me off.

Okay well I have one of those and a R85 single turbo FD as well. I heard those were pretty light.

My VR4 weighs 3500lbs without driver which is right on par with MKIV Supras so now those are ghey too?

I just hate riced out cars.

While T-Von is right, when all is said and done, it's YOUR car, and you do to it what YOU want...it seems you understand there are no-nos with the "in crowd" as you said you have the hp to back it up. I have mixed feelings about that statement since it says as long as your car is fast, you can make it as nasty/ugly as you want (I'm not talking about you in specific...more general talk). And at the same time, I feel you don't HAVE to mod your car to want it to simply look nice. But I guess my point is, there seems to be a pretty strong concensus on what does look nice, what doesn't and what's simply a don't do that kinda thing. The interior neon lights seems to fall in that category, that's all. But again, it's your car, so it's your prerogative. Cuz at the end of the day, YOU'RE the one that's gonna be looking at it the most...

Does your FC still have the rear hatch cover?, if so you could mount one under it and keep the front snap down portion rolled up.

If you don't run with a spare you could mount one inside the spare well and the light would filter out through the little vents built into the rear carpet that covers it, maybe flip those vents upside down and the light would be aimed down towards the hatch floor in a pattern of parallel stripes.

Do you have a hatch Sub box? if so you could build a small rack and stick one under it.

Just think abut it man, there are lots of places to put accent lighting.

Personally, I would put all neon accent lighting in the trash, but that's just me. Do what you like bro, it should be all about what makes your car look good to you, even if that means other people flame you for it

"Listen buddy, if you know anything, altezza's are european style tailights, last i knew honda is japenese just like a mazda, so know what your talking about before you make yourself look stupid. Also Honda's are the lamest cars anyways, I'll put whatever I want on my FD, maybe I'll put a naked picture of your mother up too! Thanks for your time!"

I emailed him back challenging his FD against my FD for $1000, and the i proceeded to call him a ricer. haha.

James... umm...is it just me, or did he just disprove himself?? If Altezza's are european, and the FD is japanese, they obviously have NO business being on a japanese car!

haha, probably wasn't thinking much when he posted this. For his sake, I hope he IS 16 years old, if not his parents must be hanging their heads in shame. At least you gave him that one in a million chance of growing a brain stem though.....

Clear taillights have been called altezza's far before the IS300/Altezza came out.

Maybe I'm totally off, but I believe clear lights and Altezzas are two very different and distinct things...

The clear lights (also called euro lights) and properly so, since they were very popular in europe (and I believe even standard equipment on some cars). Not just the cleared out brake light housings, but also clear lenses, like sidemarkers, etc.

As for Altezzas, those were the lights (eg brake lights) that weren't a solid single light; rather, they were the multiple tiny LED-like dotted lights.

So again, although Lexus used Altezzas on a clear tailight design, I really think they're two very diff things...

I have no clue, I was just referring to the people who thought the clear lights were called altezzas because of the Toyota Altezza/IS300.

Edit: You're probably right, I don't really know anything about the clear tails/altezzas craze.. I've heard clear tails being called altezzas, euro tails, etc.. I don't even know, I just call them rice.

I love the last part man. It just bewilders me why ppl wanna put Euro spec stuff on their Japanese car... :shaking head: Just cuz a Beemer comes w/ clear sidemakers and lenses doesn't mean we should do it to our cars...
