RUST The Nasty Word

well i got some rust on my RX2 and by some i downplaying the amount i have and calling it some to make me feel better, (wow that really works great until i see how much i really have Anyways) So i have it in all the usually spots for older rotaries, below the front windshield and below the back window (bad enough to let water drip into the trunk) and a couple small spots here and there. Below is a sleu of pics. please tell me what you guys use. Thanks Matt22

In order what they are.
1-Rust on bend in hood lip.
2+3-Below front windshield rust.
4-rust on the corner panel near windshield
5-probably the easiest of my rust, a larger scratch on the door

and here are some more.

6+7-pass side rear window. yes that is a small hole in pic 7
8-rust under the paint. and above that a small dent to fix

well i think your kinda getting the idea that i have alot of small rust spots thoughout the car. it has been sitting for about 4 years, and I have no idea what amount of rust it had before that. but the worst is abot to come.

oh not to mention that i dont have a garage to work in. and the
cars will be outside in one of the wetest states. I have a car cover over this
car. but i am thinking about buying a car canopy to protect it some more.

ya I know it is. I will have to lay down some nre sheet metal and weld it in.
I am considering putting in a fuel cell as well. and get rid f that old gas tank.
but we shall see. I guess i will have to make friends with somebody who
could weld it in place for me. matt22

I feel your pain Matt. A good acid bath would certainly make your job alot easier. I am assuming that you intend to restore and repaint all the metal.
