Unhappy Rubbed some paint remover and need some help

Hey, I did the 99 spec conversin to my taillights, and when I was all done removing the circles, there was glue stuck to the plastic and I tried to rub it off with this goo be gone stuff and now it is tarnished!

Is there anything i can do to try and salvage my tailight?> It is the size of a quarter but i know on sunny days you'll be able to see the dullness of the red in my taillight. What should I do!?
Is there anything that can blend it or hide it, Maye some Wax? or compound? Suggestions please...

do not use compound because you will get the same results... i would try some 2000grit sand paper and wet sand it .... first you soak the sand paper for about 12 to 15 min. in soapy water then lighty start gliding the paper over the area that you want to do... i would not use lots of pressure.....once ths is done and it will still be some what dull... then you dry the lens and then start buffing it with a plastic safe wax over and over until it is good enough.... now you probably will not get it to look like it was new but it should be better then what it is now .... now i must say do this with caution because you can f up your lights even more if it is not done right so be careful.....good luck

Is it the colored plastic pieces that has the blemish? If so, I have a gang of them if you need/want a new one. If it's the outer plastic, I can fix it. You don't need to soak the 2000 grit sand paper for 15 min as seven lust stated. 2000 grit is very fine and will not do any damage. If you are doing very very ligt sanding that requires you to go lighter than 2000 grit, then use the 2k grit with soapy water. After the sanding is finished, apply wax and buff. You can use compound but make sure it's polishing compound and not rubbing. Rubbing is too corse and will leave scratches.

yeah, it is the red colored lense, not the exterior clear plastic piece... Thank you for the replys I will try to get that 2000 grit paper and some polishing compound.. if that doesn't work I may have to hit you up for one of those lenses... I will try it out and see what happens.. Thanks for the responses
