RE Amemiya's Street Car Rx7 in JspecRZ's avatar has the kevlar RE rear diffuser which I believe is one of the best ones on the market. They also make it in CF and I think Aluminums. Very wicked design.

Actually its called "vortec generator" but somewhere in the translation from Japanese to English it got messed up. I have the RE-Amemiya Pro-Diffuser and have the Vortec generator as well as the 2 additional fins for the center tunnel. Re-Amemiya sells the Pro-Diffuser, then you can add options. The options cost more than the diffuser. I believe the whole setup cost me about $1800 or there abouts.

I have no idea why I bought it but I am taking it off, I think its good for the track, but a bit much for daily driving. I also have the Re-Amemiya diffuser, their old style fiberglass. I will install that one for the street. Its much smoother, very clean and almost looks like a factory option from Mazda. Its just wonderful. I believe the original costs under $500 from Cork Sport.

I suggest you consider the Re-Amemiya diffuser instead of the Pro-Diffuser. If I am not mistaken there was even a group buy not so long ago for them here on the forum.

cheers

I don't make the bowtech generator. I can sell you the RE Amemiya one and you can attach them to the diffuser. They are sold separately from RE Amemiya.

I like Rotary Extreme one pictured here. I also like the old style RE diffuser like Wael has.

I think the "bowtech" generators are supposed to be vortex generators. The purpose of the diffuser is to help extract the air from under the car, and the vortex generators help separate the air from the car with less turbulance (or is that more?).

I have been collecting photos of various diffusers for when I have the money saved to buy one:

Hi Chuck,

Any update on the replica copy of the old-style one? I lost the link to that thread, so if someone could point me to it I would appreciate it. (I did search, several times...)

Cheers,

Steve
