Roll BAR for FD...
Does anyone know if there's a hoop roll bar made for the FD? I'm not talking about a roll cage or something that will block the seats from going back or even have a bar near your head. I'm just talking about a simple bar like in convertibles that can be put in the rear of the car and prevent the car's roof from being crushed in a roll-over. Anybody know of one? Thanks, -Joe

basically, i think its pretty hard to role an RX-7 or any car with that low center of gravity, unless you are really trying, or you go off a cliff or something.
But otherwise, no, ive never heard of anyone producing something like that.

Kirk racing makes a bar set-up for the FD. around 350 bucks i believe. Do a search on kirk racing roll bar and you should find quite a few pics of it installed in the FD.( their website doesn't show the listing) Otherwise your best bet will probably be going to a fabrication shop and have one made for you.

Their 4 point roll bar is a bolt in design that includes the bolts and backing plates! Cross bar for harness's and you can even keep your bin covers.( you can weld the roll bar in if you desire)

BigIslandSevens - that sounds like a good plan...I like my bins and my space :P
And, I'm not too worried about rolling the car but if I use harnesses without a helmet I don't want to be (A) crushed from the roof or (B) smash my head against a roll cage. Plus, I think it'd be pretty easy to roll an FD if you've got the speed up...just turn it sideways and grab traction whether it be a barrier, a sign, another car, anything...if it hits the corner of the car while you're spinning, you'll flip pretty easily.
