Replacing 3 gen leather seating surfaces

I have a 3rd gen and the red leather seats are starting to look worn. Can anyone recommend a suitable aftermarket supplier leather seating surfaces that can be easily installed? Does anyone know of a vendor in the Houston area that will do a quality good replacing and installing the leather surfaces?

Someone on here used http://www.leatherseats.com/ and from the pictures they looked pretty damn good. Maybe search for "leatherseats"

I have seen the products that www.leatherseats.com produce on their websites. Does anyone know what the leather quality is like (analine dyed, top grain leather? or is it just split hide like the stock stuff?). I also want to know how easy is it to install. Should it be done professionally or can a home-garage-hack like myself do it?

as long as you have hog ring pliers you can some mechanical knowledge you can do it at home. just pay attention to how the old cover comes off. once you figure it out it is pretty easy

You dont even need the HOG Rings When i took my seat apart to fix the broken adjuster, I replaced the hog rings with nylon wire ties and they have been holding fine for two years

OK. So from what I hear the manual labor is pretty straight forward. What about the quality of leather from leatherseats.com? Does anyone have any experience with it? Is it analine dyed top grain, or split hide like the stock stuff? I would ideally like to get the analine dyed leather if I can get it.

Hey, they're local to me. Called them up and they said it depends:

If he can get a leather set from California then it's $995

If the kit is no longer available than he has to sew by hand so $1295.00

For the second price, I'll just get a set of Sparco reclinable seat. Although of all the OEM seats I've used, the RX7 is the best.
