Removing RPM and Speedo Needles

Okay, I need to remove the needles from the tach and the speedo on my 84 RX-7 and I'm having some difficulty, do the needles "pop" off or is there something that i need to un-screw behind (this is after the two assemblies have been removed from the actual cpanel (the circuit board.)

If you need pics, just ask.

cheers'

I used 2 small bladed flat screw drivers, and gently twisted them to pry up on both sides at the same time evenly.
its just pops strait off, just go slow and gentle, the tach, you can actualy pull the shaft out.
