redoing my interior from tan to black and gunmetal grey
#28
Your interior looks great! I'm in the process of doing a complete carbon fiber conversion (the stick-on kind) but I will also accent the cf by coloring some of the smaller parts like the side mirror adjustment **** bezel. You should do something similar, like a soft silver look to add a bit of contrast to the gunmetal. If you look at all the new interiors coming out, they ususally use two different metal colors, one for the main/large components, and a brighter, more chrome-like finish for small "surround" pieces or vents. Just an idea.

Heres the latest update. I got the black carpet in the mail yesterday, I might try to install it this weekend. I also made a panel for my boost controller, turbo timer, and an extra gauge. I still have to dress up the lines a little, and I wanted everyones input on color choice. Should I leave it gunmetal, or paint it black? I might throw a coat of black on just to see how it looks. Heres the pics.

Just got my black carpet installed and put in a water temp gauge. I'll try to have pics tomorrow, its looks so much better even with the tan seats still installed.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I was wondering if anyone has any aftermarket seat suggestions? I planned on having the stock seats releathered, but if there are other seats that are adjustable, comforatable, and not too costly, i'd consider that option too. I've searched around a little, but haven't really found what I am looking for.

It was pure luck man, I just happend to be searching and found a old post in the for sale section. So I emailed him to see if he still had it and sure enough he did. Otherwise I probably would have ended up paying a butt load to have someone do custum carpeting for me. I did this myself in a couple hours not problem.

what did you make the extra panel from for the water temp guage, boost controller and turbo timer? looks AWESOME... can't wait to see it when you get her all finished.

I'm still kinda on hold with the seats, I havent' really made up my mind yet. Talked to a place that can get me seats covers that will turn out very nice, but by time their done its will cost about $950. I'd prefer a more affordable route, but I know thats hard to ask for when talking about leather seats.

Well I don't want to get the uncomforatable non-adjustable cloth racing seats, thats the problem. I'd go all out and get something nice like the fully adjustable sparco milanos (I think thats the name) that are leather....about $1200 a seat. Plus I don't really care for racing harness's, its just a pain and besides this is a daily driver for the most part and a street car.
So far my options are, pay a few hundred bucks per shitty non-adjustable race seat, $2500 for nice race seats(you'd have to be rich or crazy), or pay $1000 to redo the stock seats. Of course you can get adjustable race seats in cloth for about $1000, but i'd rather have the stock over those.
