is it possible to shave the lip off that front and attach a 99 lip on there w/o any fitment issues?

Dragoneer: I am sure you can do it but it is all one fiberglass piece so it may take a little work. I personally like the lip because it allows me to have a 1-2 inch ram air into my radiator/cond. With a FMIC my car runs cooler than without the lip, expecially at high speeds.

JrSeVen: Thanks for the compliment, I like her too.
The interior is an aluminum overlay kit.

Hey Manatecu, how much was your shipping? a rough estimate anyhow? I need to get a temporary front (something to hold over for roughly 5 months) until i can order my 99 spec front end and get a coat of White with blue pearl accented into it.

I am quite happy with it all. 250 for the front end, 600 for the hood, and 900 for the paint. The lights were quite a bit though but I am very happy with them and nobody else has them like mine. Unless Jim L. can come up with a better lighting system I am keeping mine. My personally fav picture.

Did a friend or acquaintance paint it for you. For $900, is it worth it? It looks nice from the pics. Maybe I need to drive out to NC Need a paint job too

The guy doesn't advertise - word of mouth. He has 4 big garages in back of his grandmothers house. He does something seperate in each one. The only reason I did the deal was the clean paintbooth and a friends recommendation. Deal was all cash. He does alot of cars. Basically rotates in and out of each garage. It was full when I gave him mine and it was full with different cars when I picked mine up. He stays busy.

Paint is good quality. Its been a few weeks now and no problems.

No trash in the paint, no missed spots, no drips. He did however overspray into the wheel wells but I just repainted them black.

All and all very satisfied.

Chris

That thing would be amazing with pop up lights IMO!!!! Nice paint job.... I hope it holds out for that low price. If it does.... you got yourself quite a deal.

How about the engine compartment, door jams and rear trunk jam, did that all get painted porshe red also?

I was thinking about changing the color, but think it will be best to stay VR. I was thinking about adding a pearl, just to be different. I know manatecu asked and actually used a copper pearl, anybody else have any ideas on a pearl w/ VR?

A pearl will let the car appear red in the day, but it helps change the color at night, right? Pictures are too hard to see pearl accents from. Anybody eyewitness any pearl in red and how did it look?

Thanks,
Steve

Car goes in to get painted Tues.

Jams, Truck jams, and hood around windshield and down shock towers to front. The pearl will show up in the sunlight. At night it will show up when you pass by lights, headlights or street lights showing the pearl. Personally I like to idea of changing colors slightly at different times of the day. Twighlight is the best. Depending on the angle and way you are looking will determing the color. Also depends on which body parts and what angle its at. Do a search on the internet and look up pearls. My personal favorate was the copper I found on a Viper. It almost gives is a slight orange tent during the day.

Good luck
Chris
