Looking to add a luxury item that I've grown a custom to; in my FD, and am just wondering if anyone has done it yet?

I just want a simple rectangular shape rear view with a little compass/temperature box in the corner somewhere. None of that on-star or LCD camera crap. If anyone has seen one of these please let me know.

nah yea i wouldnt add the function, that would be too much hassle. It cant be that hard to do. have the Mirror, and the sensors, and just wire them up through the body. But which style, and where can you get them thats the question.

 

It's not the wiring that is tough. The mount comes as part of an FD windshield, and NO other mirror uses that mount. Take yours off and see what you are in for before you decide. You have to get that mount off (without cracking the windshield like I did) and then mount a new one.

 

Look at other Mazda products. I understand the Miata inside / rear view mirror is the same as ours. Perhaps there are others.
