Anyone knows where or who would make these or something similar. .
I did find them on gramotoring.com and I would order them, but the reviews of this site are awful. I don't care if they are fiberglass or carbon fiber. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
There's really nothing to the part. It's pretty much just a sheet of carbon with a bit of a wave in it. So it'd be hard to do it poorly short of really trying to do a **** job on purpose.
The weave isn't perfectly straight, but most of the distortion is an area's not exposed when installed. I'd say they were at least as good as the low-cost would imply and at least as good as anything you get from China -- i.e. 98% of what's on the market . One corner is a little scuffed, but nothing a couple minutes of polishing won't take care of. Fitment is a non-issue with this part because it just sticks onto the bumper. There's no mounting holes or anything. So it fits as well as you can align in.
The only thing I guess I'd call surprising is that it has no "underside". It's not a 3-dimensional part. The bottom doesn't even curl over. So viewed from low enough (i.e. you'd have to have your head on the ground) you just see unfinished backing. But since, to my knowledge, this isn't based on any "real" part, I can't say whether or not this is supposed to look like this or not. It is what it is.
