rear mazda rx-7 badge
the x in my rear "mazda rx-7" badge is broken. i'm just going to remove it, but i remember seeing another post where somebody said there were holes behind the badges, in which case i'm going to have to get another badge to replace the broken one. so are there holes or not? thanks.

3-M makes an adheasive remover that won't hurt the paint. You will have to re wax the car as the adheasive remover takes off the wax as well. If you use a mild scratch remover you can take out some of the hint the emblem was on there. Jack

Did anyone have the words "twin turbo" under the "RX-7"? The letters were gone before I got the car, but Mazda only had the "Mazda" to go in it's place. See the pic to see what I mean.

The old RX7 badge is a little cheap looking. I've been thinking about taking the badges off for a while. My RX7 badge is crooked I think I keep looking at it. I can't decide. I look at other 7's as well, and sometimes they look crooked too.
Am I crazy?
BTW. Goo Gone is pretty good.

The dealer prices for the RX-7 and Mazda badges are quite high at about $50 and $20, respectively (ouch!). Perhaps mazdaformance.com or one of the other shops that offer OEM parts at a discount would have better prices.

My car has the "Mazda" but not the "RX-7". I ordered the efini emblems ($30), and I'm just going to use the "RX-7" from that with the old "Mazda". This is cheaper than the factory "RX-7" I think, and I can convert to efini badges later if I feel like being a poser .
