rear diffuser
So My OEM "diffuser" is ripped and hanging at a corner. I've been researching aftermarket diffusers and see they hang considerably lower.
Those that have a diffuser, any issues with it dragging going up hills, ramps, driveways etc being that they seem to sit below the exhaust at their lowest point? I could go OEM but if I have to buy a new one, why not go big.
TIA

Is your car at stock ride height or lowered? Do you have any other exterior mods that fit the look of the diffuser you’re interested in?
I have a couple Sanai works style diffusers on my slightly lowered FD and it would scrape on my driveway apron if I didn’t approach right. Outside of that I never had any issues on the street.
On top of the cost of the aftermarket diffuser budget another $3-400 for fitting and paint.
IMO it’s not worth it unless you want a more aggressive look and will cost $600-1000 all in if you buy new parts.

You kinda have to use the oem “diffuser” with the sanai works style diffuser . It looks like something is missing if you dont use it
autoexe makes a similar one to the oem. It looks decent but the sanai works is my preferred diffuser

I think you are on the right track with your reasoning, if you drag your muffler you will drag a below the exhaust "race" style diffuser.
As mentioned there are many options.
The "race" style that are below the muffler are prone to dragging and the finish panel style arent.
What does the rest of the car look like?
a stock FD with "race" style diffuser will look silly to me. You have to visually balance your car aesthetically.
