Smg944 that’s velocity red? What’s the big difference between velocity and vintage? Ahhh guys I'm so confused I just what the car to come out looking top doller. I love that glossy mirror look, which is what I want as well as a deep red rather than a pinky tone. I love the pic on page 2 I think it was a commercial add for the JDM rx7. To find the picture view page 2 its posted by FD3S2005 the first picture, what red is this???

A quick search turned up a code of NU. My car definitely doesnt look pink in person, as already mentioned click on my dyno link in my sig to get a look at the paint under some UV lights, which tend to show off any imperfections in the paint.

My FD is NOT VR. I have the paint code/name if you are interested. You can also see it in person the next time I'm in town.

Monday is the dateline to solve this damn thing, I appreciate the help guys and I really do owe you! I have a feeling we might solve this by tonight..

Here's my Vtx:

the brand is up to you or your paint shop. the code specifies a specific shade. Tell your painter 1993 mazda rx7 vintage red paint code nu, and tell him you want it clear coated.

like i mentioned before, my FD was painted Vintage Red using german Spies Hecker paint, and I love it. Sikkens is also a brand I've heard spoken highly of.

just a fyi it doesnt matter what color you pick to go with the best paint it depends o which maufactuer. Like Dupont, PPG, Sikkens etc.

IMO i would go with a ferrari red or honda red. I can get the paint codes and years today whil i am at work ( i work in a body shop) and post them here tonight after work.

Alright guys I dropped off the 7 tonight!! Im so nervous, I went with vintage red (3 coats, 2-3 coats of clear coat). He said hes using PPG thats who they deal with. Anyways I can only pray and hope the car is done in two weeks and looks somewhat decent. Thanks for all the help guys if you pm'd me with suggestions, you know who you are and I appreciate the tips!

Where did you get pink from?? If my car is gonna look pink I better tell them not to put that damn vintage red on.. All the vr repaints I have seen have been a deep red (purple blue hue). If you ask me no offense your viper red is more so on the orangy pink side as evident with the pictures.
