RE-Amemiya front fender mirrors...
Does anyone use these on their 3rd gen? And if so, are they motorized and how did you clean up the original mirror spot? (The mirrors I'm refering to are the mirrors RE uses on all of their newer cars for the past year or more)
I've seen a few different variations of the same design. It's funny that you posted this thread today because this morning, while waiting for a parallel parking spot, I was wondering if they are actually functional
I was wondering that too. I would think so though since the field of view should be larger since the mirror is positioned further ahead of you...the only thing that would be a problem would be pointing the mirror unless of course they are electrical (unless that's what you meant?)...now I'm confused :P
Judging from my seating position (I'm 5'8 and keep the seatback pretty upright) it seems like the A pillar would obstruct the view of the driver side mirror. Also, the mirrors appear to be pretty small. I imagine these two factors coupled with the fact that they are roughly 3-4 times further away than the stock mirrors would make it difficult to see things you're not right on top of.
On my way home today I saw a red mini cooper with white and black mirrors. They're mounted and shaped kind of like the FD mirrors but sculpted a bit more. I bet they would look pretty trick on a FD with the pods matched to body color and the struts left black
