Smile RE Amemiya Boost Gauge and Column Mount from RHDJapan.com... with pics

I finished the install over the weekend. It was real easy. There were some fitment issues since it was made for a RHD car, but for 177 bucks i couldnt be happier. also, the gauge lights up green. i woulda taken a pic but iphones take horrible pictures in the dark.

fitment issues on the left side. i wont be flashing anyone to race until i get a dremel...

fitment issues on the right side.

Are you still going to be able to have the high beams on and signal left? It looks like it could work, but damn close.

Even if it doesn't, nothing a little dremel work can't fix.

where did you run the vacuum line to the boost gauge into the cabin from the engine bay?

the reason it doesn't fit is because JDM vehicles have the turn signals / window wipers switched, thus in different places.

i used this guide http://www.lemmings.com/mark/rx7binst.htm. going through the rubber gromet was easy. i cut a hole with a swiss army knife and then i pulled the hose through with a coat hanger.

Can you take the light bulb out of the gauge, and paint it red? (or put a light condom on it?)

I'm **** about matching interiors lights.

I'm going to try to put one on when I take the column mount off to dremel it.

I think this one was cheaper and i like the way the reamemiya gauge looks.

I think the rx7store gauge pod doesnt clip on to the bottom part of the steering column. You have to "make it stay in place" with something. The RE gauge pod is a direct replacement to the top steering column cover. Too bad they never made a LHD version of it.
