RE 99 Bumper Sunken Headlight Bucket Fix?

My painter has not gotten to the bumper yet but is wondering what to do about the sunken area in front of the headlight buckets. What solutions have others used to take out the sunken area. Has anyone attatched the aluminum supports to the front area of bucket? What other supports have been installed from the oem bumper?

Thanks

Same issue as on this web page.
http://www.negative-camber.org/crispyrx7/99bumper.htm
The bumper in the area in front of the head light cover dips down and creates an area that needs to be filled or pushed out to keep the curve of the hood/headlights/bumper.
You can kind of see the extra gap at the front passenger side head light cover gap to bumper, a small concave spot.

If you leave the rebar in tact, there's a thin alluminum piece of framing that runs very close underneath it. I cut a 3-4" length of 1" heater hose, slit it the long way, and stuffed it under there... it pushed the urathane up just enough. I noticed a month or two later that it had fallen out, but with time and heat and such, the urathane had formed that way and stayed up.

Anyone use the expanding foam to support those areas?

Wouldn't do it. You won't be able to control how much it expands and it will just make a mess.

Planned on bracing the bumper in place. Putting the mix in a long plastic bag and having an overflow and vent tube running out. Just a thought though.
