The more i look at this greddy touch the more I like it. I did a bit more research and I really dont think this will be compatible with the fd.

Waitin to hear back from yonaha takeru to get confirmation on this but I can't see RE endorsing a part that wasn't compatible with the FD.I have mine on hold til this is confirmed.Hopefully this ain't true

true, but they could have endorsed it for the rx8, which has a obdII port. Let us know what he says!

Does frank still make these?wonder would he hook me up with a dual rhd 60mm gauge pod?

He does or used to but I waited 9 mo. for him to make another batch, and that was quick from what I've read on the boards. Quality is top notch, but turnaround it painfully slow, due to that it's not his primary business / occupation.

You do realize it can be for rx8.

Yeah I do realise but I just thought it would have been strange to bring out a part with greddy who do their super g car every year and print their name and logo on it coz it would appeal to fd owners first.
I got an email last night from rhd to say there was confusion whether it was compatible or not and they were waiting to hear back from the RE rep so they've put my order on hold until its clearer.
I then got an email to say it wasn't compatible with the FD and just 5 minutes ago I get another one to say that there is an obd connector but they haven't clarified whether if this makes it compatible or not so we're back to square 1!!!

its most likely does not work. also this thing does what the hand held commander does but with pretty color, high price waste of money IMO.

Wouldnt this thing work only on Japanese FDs and FDs sold elsewhere after 1995? We cant use it on our FDs since were OBDI but later cars should have an OBDII system.

I dunno man.I got an email from rhdjapan saying that they were in contact with an Re-amemiya rep and he said they wouldn't work on Fds only the Rx8 so I backed out.Shame coz its a nice part.

I wonder if it would be too much of a pain in the *** to take an american FD, and fully convert it to 2002 JDM spec, with all the latest bells and wistles, OBD2 spec, and etc?

Or did Japan not put out OBD2 FD's even after 1996 like it was mandated here?
