Rain-X, available at most auto stores (pep boys, auto zone, advanced, wal-mart, K-mart, Publix, Kroger).

They make an exterior application that makes water sheer right off your winshield, you won't even have to use wipers afterwards.

I also have the interior application, anti-fog. It seems to work quite well. I haven't read the label to check if it is safe on tint, nor have I used it on tint.

In general, their products work very well.

I had some residue on my hatch glass, probably from the plastic treatment I applied earlier. I tried the RainX anti-fog cleaner wipes. It made things much worse

Since you're "chilling with the terminator," I assume you're in CA where it's been raining lately. Turn on the A/C with the heater on. It'll dry the air that goes through the defroster vents, and should clear up the fog immediately.

I have issues with that on humid nights in the summer, and I've yet to find something that will clear the windows of fog. I think I remember reading that wiping down the inside of the windows with newspaper might help? Sounds crazy, but it's probably worth a try.

Anti-Fog Rain-x is the same concept as cleaning your scuba diving mask with toothpaste, or snow skiing goggles with an anti-fog wipe. Plain and simple, it works, but you STILL must be careful not to breath warm air onto your cold goggles or vice versa.

You will get fog on the interior or exterior of the windows when there is a large temperature or humidity difference between the air on the outside, or inside of the car.

Often times, if your "recirculating" your air, instead of taking fresh air from the outside. your windows will fog. Air conditioning (either cold or hot depending the condition) works all the time to eliminate fog quickly. If you don't want to turn on the air, try cracking a window or opening the vent.

The glass is usually colder than the outside temp. so a decrease in the temp of the glass will help clear the fog. Turn on the A/C for the windshield, or the heat, and you should be fine.

I've always used heat instead of AC. It works fine in nearly every situation.

Gotta fix my ac this spring...

If you go to an eyeglass store, they sell anti-fog cleaner. It works great on welding helmets, glasses, etc., so I would think it'd work on car windows. And I doubt that it'd hurt the tint, since you can use it on glasses that have coatings.

To clarify, the RainX wipes never actually cleaned the residue off of my glass in the first place. I'm not even commenting on the fog-resistance properties. Oh well, Nothing a microfiber towel and water can't fix though. I'm not putting that anti-fog crap on again.

Anytime I ever need de-fogging around here is when it's raining. Then, it's always nice to A/C and heat the car to dry off the passengers and interior a bit. Then later, switch to recirc once it feels dry inside to keep more humid air from entering the cabin.
