i have an aftermarket jensen cd deck, pretty old about 1-2 years, and all of a sudden now it starts playing and then turns off and turns back on again. it will do that about every minute or sometimes every couple seconds. to me it seems like there isnt enough power because it wont play unless the car is on and running.

any ideas on how to fix this or at least the cause of this?

 

did you check the power and ground connections?

if those are fine try another head unit.

 

to me it sounds like a loose wire or you may have a short in it
