Racing Beat front air dam vs. '99 spec lip
Racing Beat front air dam vs. '99 spec lip
Hello everyone
I was recently given a great opportunity by one of my mom's friends. He owns a local car shop, and also paints cars. He told me that if I do good this semester at MSU he will paint my car for free....not a bad deal, huh? Best thing is, this semester won't be all that difficult. Anyway, I think that if I am going to get a paint job, I want to add a spoiler and front air dam at the same time. I am going to get the Racing Beat Style 2 spoiler (or whatever one looks like the '99 spec), but I am having a hard time deciding between the Racing Beat front air dam or the '99 spec front lip. I would also like to know what "modifications" have to be done to the '99 spec lip to get it to fit on a '94. FYI, my car is Montego Blue right now.
In case you don't know, here are some pics of the two styles:

Try and look at the Feed Front end, Rotary Extreme Sells a descent replica, it's like the '99 front end but without the License Plate Holder and instead a little slot for air to get under the hood (Good thing).

I like the Racing Beat Front Air Dam a lot. However, I decided to purchase the '99 Spec Lip instead.
Around my area (including my driveway), we have a lot of high lips onto driveways and other areas. I currently have the Racing Beat Chin spoiler and it's all beat to hell. I didn't want to put on the Air Dam and beat that up since it will be painted as well.
However, as black, you can beat up the '99 Spec fairly well without it looking bad. Also, some people have used that rubber type paint on it to help it last.
If you get the Racing Beat Air Dam, have the sides molded to the car. It's looks 10x better that way.

Here's a pic of my car for reference.
It has the RB Type 2 Rear spoiler and the 99 spec front lip. Since you might be interested in that combo, this is what it looks like in silver.

Thanks for your input, but if you say something like "go with ______" or "don't get ______" please specify why you feel that way. I still can't decide - I know I want one of those two, at least until I have enough to completely do the exterior.
'99 spec lip looks great on the '93 bumper. It has a sleek, sharp look to it. But the R1 lip has that muscular look. Tough call, lol. But just like Mahjik said, the RB spoiler looks awesome, but you'd really have to mold it in.
