Can somebody tell me if the speaker set up is different on an R1 model. I don't have the accoustic wave, but I do have the dual tape/cd player. I am replacing my head unit in a few weeks with a new pioneer unit, and was wondering if I should follow the stickies above. Anybody replace the stock deck in an R1? I guess it should be noted that my car is Canadain. Sometime they have differn't options like cruise!

 

I guess I can assume that they are the same!

 

if you dont have bose all you have to do is buy a normal wiring harness for your car, if you go to circuit city you can get a harness that plugs in to the stock harness and then plugs in to the pioneer harness without any butt connectors or tape
