r1 seat vs standard leather for fd
Just a simple inquiry. I've seen a couple fds on here with custom leather seat jobs. I was wondering if you guys just did a direct replacement from regular leather seats? Can it be done to r1 seats all the same? Is there a difference in foam padding between the two seats? Let me know. Thanks!

If you have R1 seats, keep them. They are nice and give good support. The leather are comfortable but u slide to much in them. I would recommend keeping the R1 seats unless they are really fucked up, in that case get some aftermarket seats that give good side support.

All depends on what you want out of your ride.
I had R1 seats in my FD. They weren't really my cup of tea because I never go road racing, auto-xing or take sharp turns in my car. I'm more of a cruising about town, going to work, and driving my wife around in my FD kinda guy. So leather seats were just what the doctor ordered.
