We'll as some of yu may know my car is in the shop right now getting worked on. The paint is going to be changed from Montego Blue to Innocent Blue mica. I picked up a R1 Lip from a member here on the forum. It is a little scratched up. I'm not sure weather I should paint this piece in with the car or not.
I wanted to get a feel for everyone else's opinions were.
So what do you think you would do in my shoes?

i agree with Rikki most cars look alot better with the lip painted black. But make sure its a DEEP DARK black none of the light blacks cuz that looks badd! but either way its still gunna be one hell of a car
I think both look really good depending on the color of the car. with the blue mica you're going to I think the black lip looks nice, here's an example of an NJ FD that is that color and the black lip:
and then here is another example of a Porshe artic silver with the lip painted(Silver93TT's car):

Is the car in your avatar pic yours? Is that IBM? If so could you post some pics? So far the painting the lip to match is looking like what I may do.

Hey that's my FD
Its porsche artic silver with a little blue pearl. The front end is an oem 99 piece modded to eliminate the licence plate holder. I though the lip would look better silver, but have decided to re-paint it satin black to match my wing.

Yes I like it.
Well guys I decided to experiment with the lip.
Tonight I made a fiberglass mold of it. I'm going to get some carbon fiber and make one. I'm pretty confident that I can get this to turn out pretty good. If so and after I post the pics would anyone be interested in paying for these ...say $200-$250 shipped?
Well I'll see how many it takes me to get it down. Then I'll know for sure. Like I said I'll post pics as soon as it's done.
Late
I think it looks great to paint the lip, but everyone I have seen looks like **** in person. The first time you bottom out going in or out of a parking lot you will scrape all your paint off. I think this is the reson that I would never paint it. I don't care what anyone says paint doesn't stick to plastic very well, even with a flex additive. Just a thought
ha sorry guys but the car in my sig isnt really my car....i was kidding(
) but the car is in Japan and everything is REAL on the car and it looks badass.
anyways i think it looks good both ways and each has its pros and cons and it all comes down to personal preference
