So you're leaking more info on your top secret project?

Man you guys are a bunch of cherry pickers lol. How you gonna let ME spend all the $$ and you guys get all the benefit?

No, I'm still partial to the other one. Maybe an updated one, same angle, just w/ the new headlights installed?

Oh hush. It's no secret I've been sweatin these headlights. I've posted in practically every thread regarding them. And the V-mount, that's on the thread too. Besides, headlights and a V-mount aren't exactly the heart and soul of my setup (at least I hope not LOL). And yea, I like to keep things under wraps until they're finished. Some ppl are all talk. I prefer to walk the walk, THEN talk.

Like you can't afford...
What...do I look like I'm made of gold? I'mma be payin for these badboys for a while...I just couldn't resist...

Oh and BlueRex, talk about bein all up on EVERY one of my posts... If this were real life, this would qualify as stalking me

Well these headlights are pretty unique, and in other words not something you see on every FD out there so it's definately a good characteristic of this new setup you're putting together. And besides what else are you putting together that's gonna make your car so special? Port job? BNR's? Carbon fiber interior overlay? If it isn't something that hasn't been done before then I wouldn't be putting all that "heart and soul" into it if it's just going to blend in with all the other FD's out there. But that's just my opinion.

Really all your posts? I don't think I've followed all 4000+ posts you've racked up. But I will say that I know when I see a post by FDNewbie I'm gonna find something great to call you on. What can I say, I'm bored...

Yea they're def. hot and rare. Anderson's the only other guy in the US who has 'em if I'm not mistaken. Personally, I'd like to keep it that way. And I think Chuck said he has no plans to replicate this kit...which would make me VERY happy LOL (no offense guys).

You're getting warm.

Carbon fiber interior overlay?
Cold...very very cold. Besides, that's YOUR territory LOL. I don't think I need to post pics, do I??

Absolutely. That's the challenge...which is why you wanna keep things under wraps so no one goes and steals the idea from you (ahem ahem).

Na, just the ones ever since the GB lol. And yea you must be bored...get a life (Man what I would do to have free time like you... )

i'm glad there won't be a copy. This is a very sought after headlight kit which i think make the fd look extremely sexy. I for one will be getting this kit when i have enough money.

Hey guys

I hate to disappoint you, but it will be a WHILE before these bad boys are installed. I got a lotta bills to pay, and I got a rebuild on the way (it's only a matter of time). Bodywork's last on my list right now. I just got 'em while I could, and they're gonna sit here for a few months until I can get to the body work (prob lookin at around December at the earliest). Sorry.

If you ever need an FD to model them lights on, i'll un-install my headlight kit and will gladly run yours for a while. You know. . . break em in and what not. C'mon, what are e-friends for?

Nice. Thanks e-friend. I'll let ya know

If you guys want a bit more info, including a write-up from the only other guy who has 'em, here's the thread: https://www.rx7club.com/interior-exterior-audio-26/r-magic-hid-head-light-kit-fd-370140/ The review is still on there, but his pics aren't. If you search for pics from last year's Rotorfest, he's got a white FD w/ the lights installed.'

Oh, and you'll find that he's very honest in giving a balanced review of the headlight kit...pros and cons, considering he's also owned the genuine C-west headlight kit too.

wptrx7, Dan's saying I hope you're kidding that you want me to tackle installing 'em just so you can see the light beam lol. I'll tell you this though... 1) Chuck was telling me the lights don't use a true low beam (correct me if I'm wrong Chuck) so you don't have a sharp cutoff. That means you can blind ppl. Pshh... ask me if I care. I drive worrying about MY vision lol. Besides, the car's so low, that I drive around w/ my high beams on NOW, and ppl think they're regular low beams 2) Not trying to be a *****, but I ain't tryin to have these lights pop up all over the place lol. Can't somethin be rare and stay rare??

Damn ~$2000 and the lighting still isn't perfect.

Such disregard for a safety issue.

I personally hate it when some dumb@$$ (sorry, but that is my opinion of peope who show no regard for other drivers on the road) in oncoming traffic has there high beams on and doesn't give a **** that he's making people drive blind.

Ramy, just curious, right before the lights, is there some sort of shielding or clear glass that is not easily seen, that would protect the lights from road debris? Just curious, because those lights are indeed rare, and would hate to see you driving around pop-eye style because a rock was kicked up from some dump truck in front of you.

Wow Jason. You stayed true to your word for what...12 hours? It's all good man...I'll keep it between us haha. (j/k...really). But c'mon now... do you HONESTLY think I paid that much just for good lighting? Pshh... if lighting was the only issue, I woulda bought a spotlight or two and called it a day I think the lights look simply BADASS. Just incredibly mean. And I'm def. going for the menacing look w/ my FD.

That said, I forgot to mention, the lighting IS indeed INCREDIBLE. It's not perfect ie considerate of others, but OMG...it's HID, so it's like everything around you has sunlight on it. Freakin amazing. Anderson and I were hangin out last summer, and we were driving around, and these are Jersey roads, so it's pothole galore... and well...umm...he would turn, and I would bottom out lol. Over and over. I just could NOT see the pot holes. Stock lighting's horrible. So I hopped in and went for a ride...and it was amazing what you could see. Lights brighten everything up so well that you could make out the small irregularities and poor quality of the Jersey roads

Such disregard for a safety issue. I personally hate it when some dumb@$$ (sorry, but that is my opinion of peope who show no regard for other drivers on the road) in oncoming traffic has there high beams on and doesn't give a **** that he's making people drive blind.
Plz....like I said, the car's so low, most cars can't tell when I have my high beams on - including opposing traffic! That, and I think ppl should be more worried about my driving habits and style than my headlights. Nuff said about that...

Chris, good question. They actually do have a clear plastic cover on top of them, but it's not sealed. Anderson was telling me how water would seep into there, but because it wasn't sealed, it could easily evaporate, unlike the C-wests he had in which water would somehow make it's way inside the cover, and get stuck there. No way to evaporate back out. Also, Chuck and Anderson were telling me how leaving that cover unsealed helps ventillate the lights, which is real important, given they're real hot HIDs.

Actually when I said that I was referring to how I make subtle jokes in my posts, but I think my previous post was a relevant comment.

Agreed, but for the price tag I thought the lighting would have been near perfect, but then again we don't know exactly how bad the cut off is or isn't (except for the thread of the other guy who owns them, which I am too lazy to read right now) so maybe it will still be true to the price.

EDIT: nm you rode in his car to so you know exactly how it's gonna look... and you still don't care

That said, I forgot to mention, the lighting IS indeed INCREDIBLE. It's not perfect ie considerate of others, but OMG...it's HID
Yea, definately a good advantage over stock.

so it's like everything around you has sunlight on it. Freakin amazing.
I'm aware of what HID light looks like looks like I broke my word now...

Plz....like I said, the car's so low, most cars can't tell when I have my high beams on - including opposing traffic! That, and I think ppl should be more worried about my driving habits and style than my headlights. Nuff said about that...
My concern wasn't only about whether or not you were actually blinding people, but also your attitude about it; "That means you can blind ppl. Pshh... ask me if I care. I drive worrying about MY vision lol." And then I commented based on that sentence.

But since I did say I'd lay off your posts, let me know if this is nerve racking and I'll leave the thread.
