Exclamation Quick help with VIS Hood!!!

Hey, I searched, but I didn't see anyone mention anything about this.

I just got a VIS scoot style hood and it has a one-piece undersiding thing installed on it that is blocking the vents.

Am I supposed to take this off completely or just cut the wholes??? Is it there to be something like a heat shield or just for so it doesn't bend as much during shipping??

Thanks guys

it is a rain guard. it protects the engine from the rain. you can remove it.

How did the hood fit ? Did you use hood pins? How hard was it to install? Are you happy with the quality?
On sunny days you take the rain guards off,i never drive mine in the rain? One more thing is a heatsheild underneath needed?
Thanks smitty

hey smitty I have a VIS Drift hood with reverse cowl and it works great, fit very well, I did use hood pins for mine, one thing no one covers if you are going from a heavy steel hood to CF you need to get a lighter spring for the hood latch, the stocker won't latch b/c the spring is rated for the heavy hood, you can either find a junker vert with an alum hood and get the latch or do like I did and just get a spring kit from parts store and make one work, since I have the hood pins I'm not to worried about the spring holding down the hood
