Questions for you Audio Buffs
Hey I have a 94 rx7 with the stock Bose system.... I just ordered the infinity kappas 6.5 60.7cs and I got the 5.25 Kappas for the rear the 50.cs model.
I also allready had two audiobahn amps one for the speakers and the other is for the sub i bought... It is the Audiobahn1005Q, I heard it needs a ported, bigger, sealed box but would bang pretty hard. It is 10 inches by the way...
Well my question is, when I install the door speakers should I dynomat the whole thing? I am really trying to not overload my car with weight, and if it can be avoided I will try not to. I also saw that some sites have little square pieces of dynomat which go around the speaker, I would be interested in buying those to try to soak up the ratteling.
From this set up what do you guys have any suggestions or would like to add anything. I also have the Alpine headunit which was discoutinued a year or two ago it is 50x4, my friend is hookin that up for me....
I know some people are biased towards audiobahn but I like the brand so whatever....
-Thanks-

I used fatmat which is the samething as dynamat just alot cheaper. I noticed a big improved on my mids (bass) coming from the doors. IMHO i think its worth it, plus the door doesnt clunk anymore (that tin sound) it shuts with no sound. I would just dynomat the doors, than if you hear anything rattling fix it or dynomat it. You said it needs a ported, bigger sealed box, which would be physically impossible its either sealed or ported. Sealed is going to give you tight bass but wont get as loud as a ported box. I would of went with a different direction, much better subs could of been had for the same price. IE Image dynamics make great subs at affordable prices. Good Luck,
