Question about the OEM paint. VR
I picked up some PPG DBU Vintage Red. I'm a bit confused if this is a 2 stage or a 3 stage paint. The Vintage Red came in two separate containers. One was the base coat, the other is a tinted clear top coat. Do I still spray regular clear coat on top of the tinted clear coat?

aeka gsr. vintage red is a 3 stage paint. it's not a mica or pearl, more of like a candy. first you lay on the base coat which is almost orange, then you spray the toner which is the tinted clear you speak of. this changes the base coat color making it vr , then you apply the clear coat.
most vr fd's that look pinkish are from the toner coat that faded.
