Question about Carbon Fiber

Never messed with carbon fiber before but, I recently received my carbon fiber lip spoiler/tail light panel from a forum vendor and its pretty scratched up. Is it possible to wet sand and buff the scratches out of the carbon fiber or did I get screwed?

Take it to a body shop and have them re-clear coat it.

Actually take it to a body shop and they can buff them out if the scratches are not to bad.

Ok cool. I wasn't sure if it was cleared or not. I'm gonna have a shop install it anyways so gave them refinish it. Thanks folks!
