Question about Aftermarket Door Lock Actuators
I'm going to be installing a security system with keyless entry and remote hatch release in a few months.
One feature that I want to add is progressive unlock. What it does is when you press the unlock/disarm button on the remote, the driver side door unlocks only. When you press the same button again, the passenger side unlocks.
So, based on a few diagrams, I've come up with a circuit that uses four relays and two 2-wire actuators. While it should work, I don't much like the idea of using four relays.
My question is: does anyone have any idea what connections are on a 5-wire actuator? It may be obvious, but I want to be sure. Does a five-wire actuator have a relay built in?
