I was plannin on doing the conversion soon, and read the write up. I know how to do it, but was wondering if u guys had paint peeling problems when u pulled the plastic stickers off. Is it best to do thin multiple coats? lightly sand or use light sandpaper on the tailight lenses after u put the stickers to promote better paint adhesion? How did u guys get the placement of the sticker masks perfectly aligned? Basically my ques, is where in proportion to the other masks does it look best, or more equal; i.e. not cut off on any of the sides, by the smoked strip on the outer lense of the tailight. Just keep trying different places until Im satisfied?

Oh, and will heating the adhesive again before putting the whole deal back together really work as well? Or would some type of sealant (pls specify) for the plastics work better? I would assume some type of sealant would be safer.

 

ok fellas, I know that there are a lot of posts about this already, but I cant find anyone who has really posted complaints or the problems that u can run into with doing this. so, with that, Im hoping someone will either tell me Im too paranoid and I should just do it, or someone will help.
