quality / fitment of VIS '99 spec wing
VIS makes a replica '99 sec wing i believe out of fiber glass and CF (center piece). Wonder if anyone has it and can comment on the fitment / quality.

I have one of their older ones with out the carbon fiber center piece and it fits fine, if you have an R1 you will have to drill a new hole on each side to mount it. the new wing will leave a hole on each side from an unused mounting point so that will need to be fixed. if you dont have an R1 then you will have to drill all the holes yourself.

I got my Vis from the first group buy, finally I had it installed a couple of years later. Fitment was top notch. I got rid of it soon after though.
Why? Apparently during those two years my taste changed and I opted to go wingless as I wanted a more mature/serious look. Meh go figure

I didn't have in there long enough to find out. Thankfully I've never been a cop magnet in my rx-7. I thought for sure that after my makeover I was going to get pulled over left and right (aftermarket sleek lights, dropped, scoot replica hood, sideskirts, re-painted the car yellow) but it hasn't been the case.
Actually a cop let me go a couple of months ago and his exact words were "slow down, this is a nice car I'd hate to see you crash it". He had a perfectly good reason pull me over too. I did a WOT run while on a residential street as I was checking my boost controller (I didn't surpass the speed limit though). I have a single turbo and my wastegate is vented to the atmosphere (LOUD), and my BOV on top of that. He heard it all as he even commented on my BOV. Given all of that he had probable cause to search my car and give a royal ticket. But I got lucky.
