I doubt it. There are companies that make body kits that are wind tunnel tested and actually help at high speeds. Prodrive being the only one I can think of off hand. They dont make body kits for FDs unfortunatly. The 99 spec lip is prob. ballanced to the 99 spec wing. Typcially that is what car makers do; if they take the time to wind tunnel test their cars.

Watch some land speed racing if you want to see what happens when people have too much down force on one side of the vehicle and not enough on the other. It is not pretty btw. At 100+ mph it starts to matter.

The Mercedes in Le Mans a couple of years back kept flipping (2X different times) due to aero. imballances. Supposidly there was not enough front end down force and the velocity of the air under the car was very high and so the car flipped over backwards at speed. It was interesting to watch, but I would not want to be in that car when it happened nor would I want to pay the bill to fix it.

 

No, I would guess that RE's race car is most likely setup right. I never said wings were bad. Big ricer wings on cars put on there with no wind tunnel testing for looks is what I dont like. If he had a Mazdaspeed GTC wing and the GTC front end (that were supposidly wind tunnel tested, though I cant read japanese so I cant confirm this) I wouldn't have said a thing.

 

The Mercedes CLK GTR and Porsche Gt1 both flipped.

Both have WAY more rear weight bias as mid-engine cars to begin with.

I saw those pictures awhile ago, but I can't find them. I tried to search but the search function hasn't been functioning properly. Keeps giving me this error. That car "inspired" me to get the clear 99 spec turn lamps from Japan. It's on its way. I wish my car would finish faster but I now learned that Rotary Power takes a very, very long time. They haven't even started to work on it. But as long as it, and paint, gets done before October, I'm happy.
