pros and cons of painting interior
i was thinking about painting everything in my fc black to make it look newer and i was wondering how many ppls paint jobs have chipped and if they end up looking bad. my whole interior is already the stock black, the only thing wrong with it is wear from the sun...
my friend has painted his interior before.. sand it with coarse to fine grit depending if it already smooth.. spray with light even coats at a time.. his never chipped yet and its been like that for about 6 months now

I painted all of the hard plastic in my FD interior with Dupli-color black bumper coating (not their black trim paint, it's actually called "Bumper Coating".) It just so happens to perfectly mimic the tint and reflectivity of the stock plastic. I painted my extra driver's '94-bumpy-textured door trim piece (the one that surrounds all the switches and door handle) on a whim, held it up to the one on my car, and really couldn't tell which one had been painted. I spent about $55 in spray cans to do the whole thing and I had to scour 2 different Auto-Zones and 2 different Wal-marts because I kept buying all they had and they wouldn't re-order. Hasn't been on there long but seems to be pretty durable; I can't sctratch it with my fingernails.
