My question is regarding paint and body work.

Primer contamination-- how long does it take and what needs to be done to restore it?

I prepped my car a long time ago for paint, but never got around to it...yes hillbilly style primer car. I did not seal the primer, but it has a healthy coat on it

Will wetsanding it and cleaning/degreasing it be ok prior to painting, or will it need another fresh coat?

painting experts, your advice is needed!

 

and before someone asks...why did i primer the entire car?

I'll blame it on temporary OCD...base coat was in decent shape, but the car needed some bodywork.

RICER!!! just kidding... i believe you need a fresh coat but i wouldn't take my word on it

 

just sand it down.

 

cool i think it should be ok then, i intentionally put on a heavy coat pending final wetsand before painting...just gotta be sure!
