are u just gonna paint them the same color or a different color? just wet sand with 400-600 untill you lose the clear coat and into the base paint but dont go past the primer and it should be ready to paint just all that is left is too wax&degreese them and tack them off before paint.

tip too is to use a fine scotch brite to get into curved and sharp areas instead of using the paper so u dont cause rough edges or sand off the lines.

take a scoth brite pad(i think red is 80 grit or 120 grit) and get all of it offwith it or u can use the scoth brite pad and get some regular 80-180 grit paper and hit it with that. then get them primered up with primer surafcer( u can gt some good stuff in a can at auto body supply stores) to fill in the scratches. If the paint isnt thick then use 180-220 grit paper and use a fine scoth brite pad to get the corners and crevices.

once u primer them, get yourself some 400-600 grit sand paper and wet sand it with 400 then with 600. If u go past the primer. Do it again.
