power door lock problem?

I have a 93' touring FD and was wondering why, when i lock and unlock the driver side door, the door lock actuator (the green box in the driver side footwell) clicks, but it does not lock or unlock the passenger door? It seems to be useless. Also, my factory alarm doesnt set either. I am assuming the alarm doesnt work because the locks dont work right.

door lock problems seem to be an occuring problem with the 93's. Mine has problem too! The stock alarms suck and I hear that the alarm actually wears out the actuators faster. Sorry I can't help you out too much... I would just replace the alarm and actuators. The alarm on our cars are outdated so consider it an upgrade.

I had the dealer disconect the alarm's actuator from the door and now my drivers door opens both doors with the key. Before neither the key nor the alarm remote would open the drivers door.

There is some posts on this allready or smiliar to this anyhow. I beleive the guys mention our cars use a cable instead of a rod and most actuators are made for the rod type, so they burn out.
Sorry, i'm trying to write this from memmory and not hands on experience so maybe someone can correct me if i'm wrong.

Door lock actuators don't care if they move a rod or a cable.
